We, the Rush Committee of the Omega Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT) at University of Missouri, want to formally welcome you to ZBT Rush. Continuing over 100 years of tradition, we are determined to not only reel in the strongest new member class at Mizzou, but one that rises to the top of ZBT nationwide.
Our classes during the 2018-19 school year brought a diversity of voices and backgrounds into our fraternal order, and we look forward to the same occurring in 2019-20. We pride ourselves on maintaining a chapter rich in various academic pursuits, including Pre-Med, Journalism, Business, Marketing, Engineering, and Communications to name a few.
Here at Omega, we seek to continue to be at the forefront of the move towards a Greek system free of hazing that's come to define the fraternity experience of the 21st century. When you visit the University, we look forward to showing you why you should go Greek and why ZBT might be a great fit for you.
Around campus, ZBT maintains an outstanding reputation. Many members of our fraternity are active in extracurricular organizations including KOMU, the Interfraternity Council, the Maneater, KCOU, the Residence Hall Association, Chabad (one of our members is its President), Hillel, Club Soccer, Mizzou Lacrosse, Mizzou Wakeboarding, Business Organizations, MUTV, and more. One of our recent alumni, Jason Peiser, received the award for “Best ZBT Founding Father” at the 2018 ZBT National Leadership Conference.
In addition to our active participation on campus, we also focus on active philanthropic involvement. Besides volunteering at the Salvation Army and other charitable organizations, we put on two major philanthropic events as a chapter. In the spring, we host “Get on the ball!", a national ZBT Initiative to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. This fall, we'll debut our newest philanthropic event: Greek Ninja Warrior, which will feature an inflatable obstacle course tournament to raise money for the Mizzou Mental Health and Wellness Center.
Being an Omega isn't just about being a part of a brotherhood that lasts four year; it’s about joining a brotherhood that lasts a lifetime. That's evident through our alumnae, whose successes show that life-long connections and brotherhood opportunities are endless with ZBT.
We know that this time can be overwhelming. Please feel free to call, text, or email any of us with any questions you have.
Additionally, if you know of anyone else interested in rushing, please give us their contact information, and we will be sure to immediately get in touch with them.
It's great to be a ZBT! We hope you'll consider joining our brotherhood for a lifetime.
